The Russellville Police Department strives to instill professionalism in our officers. The conduct of our officers is a direct reflection on the police department. We welcome any input from our citizens concerning our officers.
The Criminal Investigation Division investigates allegations of officer misconduct that requires more than a supervisory level counseling. These investigations are assigned by the Chief of Police.
Background investigations on prospective employees are also prepared by the Criminal Investigation Division as well as other administrative investigations as assigned by the Chief of Police.

Commendation Procedure
To commend or compliment the performance of a Russellville Police Department employee, notify a Police Department Supervisor by coming in person to the Russellville Department between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday – Friday or by calling the Police Department's non emergency number at (479) 968-3232, or by mailing comments to:

When a commendation is received by the supervisor it is forwarded through the chain of command, to the Chief of Police.
Letters of commendation from citizens are posted for all department employees to view.
Complaint Procedure
It is the policy of the Russellville Police Department to investigate all allegations and complaints of misconduct against any member of the department. Proper adherence to the provisions of this policy will clear the innocent and facilitate prompt and equitable corrective disciplinary action.
