Incident: Special Events

With warmer weather quickly approaching, the number of events occurring in the
City will begin to increase. This increase in events includes many outdoor
activities, races, and festivals that will, at times, affect traffic and pedestrian flow
in or near the Downtown Russellville area.

The Russellville Police Department encourages everyone to enjoy and support
these events; however, we ask that everyone exercise patience and caution while
traveling in Russellville during these times. As a result of these events, motorists
may experience temporary traffic delays, detours, or observe runners/ walkers on
the roadway. Most of the events are approximately one hour in duration with the
exception being the RussVegas Half Marathon.

Below is a list of events that have been scheduled thru the end of April:

Run for the Fallen: March 17th from 8:30am – 10:00am

events, but we depend on everyone in the community to do their part. Please be
aware of your surroundings, obey traffic control signs, and have a little patience
as we provide support for these community events.
